Bono interview

Bono gave an interview on Australian tv last night where he talked a little bit about what's going on with the band and the tour. I'm downloading the file right now so I haven't seen the interview yet, but according to people who watched it on Aussie tv he did say they are rescheduling thier AU/NZ concerts for November. Not a big surprise since it takes that long to book the venues and get crew to work the concerts, November was about the earliest anyone expected they could do it.

He didn't give any new info about who the "ill family member" is but he said that the outlook is good and that the band member in question will be "on fire" when they get back on the road.

So, pretty much good news, the tour's not cancelled so things must not be too horrible in terms of the sick family member, and the fans in AU/NZ who have waited 8+ years for U2 to play there will only have a few more months to wait. No word yet on the Japan and Hawaii shows and whether they'll be rescheduled or postponed.

The photo above is a clip from the interview. Bono's looking like it's been a rough few days, either partying or more likely the stress of all that's gone on in the last week.

One of the girls I work with was so very upset that they postponed -she was worried that they would reschedule for while she was away in Japan, but she will definately be back by November!
And Hi from Australia to you!
