read this on blurbomat today and found it interesting. Some of you will find it no surprise that the Mormon church has been compared to another extreme religious organization, the Taliban. What is surprising is that the comparison comes from the mayor of Salt Lake City....

Which reminds me, if you haven't read Under the Banner of Heaven I'd highly recommend it, it's a great book about the history of the Mormon church written by Jon Krakauer (also author of Into the Wild, Into Thin Air). I read it a couple of years ago when it first came out, now it's out in paperback and definitely worth reading.
